Some people think the blurrier the better. It's an individual preference, I guess. There was not much control over the way pieces blurred, or flowed, in the kiln, but most of the earlier pieces are "flown" more than some of the later (1890s+) pieces. If you can post a picture, someone may be able to help identify your pattern and pottery.
