THE CASE OF THE MISSING HALLOWEEN CANDY! 🎃

Something is going on in Spookyville cemetery! The large skeleton's pumpkin pail is empty, and his Halloween candy has vanished. Tina Tanaka and a tiny Skeleton were nearby, but were they witnesses, accomplices, or suspects?

Even the large skeleton isn't above suspicion! And who knows who or what might be lurking among the tombstones?

🕵️ YOUR MISSION: Solve the mystery using MOTIVE, MEANS, AND OPPORTUNITY!

🔎 WHO took the candy, WHY did they want it, and HOW did they pull it off?

🎃 THE PRIZE: Everyone who submits a theory by midnight on October 31 will be entered into a random drawing to win the By Shane dress. Dress for a Party, pictured below.

Let the detective work begin!

a bear did it during the day when the scary beings were inactive/asleep/turned off and the bear preferred it to the bad taste of eating any of the scary ones (which she has tried before)

The bats did it.....(my entry).........

They were able to swoop down and grab a piece at a time with their little clawed feet. With so many of them, they were able to empty the pumpkin bowl in no time! Skeleton is a bonehead and just thought they were after insects.

Motivation? Robin was over at Bruce Wayne's mansion, and begging to go out trick-or-treating. Batman told him he looked ridiculous, and reminded Robin his "costume" was for WORK ONLY.

So, Robin called in the bat brigade and offered them a bag of mealworms for every ten pieces of candy they brought him. The Jack-o-Lanterns saw it all but sat and laughed evilly.

Muffy did it!

She wants candy, cause, you know, she's Muffy. She flooded the scene with a sleeping gas and made off with everything. The Skeletons are all still a little woozy. Worst, of all, she didn't share with me!

The large jack-o-lantern on the right took the candy.
He thought his light was so insignificant next to all
that colorful and delicious candy so he took it out
while the skeleton was sleeping and put it behind a
tombstone. Once it gets dark, he'll put out his light
and stuff himself with all that wonderful candy!

One of the ghosts living in the cementery was upset because it wasn't invited to go Trick or Treat this year. The ghost wore a "bat" costume. It decided to get candies anyways. When everyone was distracted looking at the sort of skull and crossbones that suddenly appeared on the cementery ground - planted by the ghost (dressed as a bat)- it quickly stole all the candies from the large skeleton's pumpkin pail. Took off quickly and disappeared in the dark night. The only witnesses were the pumpkins but they were unable to speak.

Motive: revenge for not been invited

The first thing that crossed my mind was a squirrel>>>

The squirrel saw that pumpkin full of candy. When others weren't looking, he scurried over and grabbed candy piece by piece. The first few he happily are in a nearby tree. Then, he quietly snatched more and stored them in a hole up in the tree. He was going to have a wonderful winter!

Nobody paid any attention to what he was up to and the heist was a success!

At first glance, one would think that perhaps her dress, proclaiming "Death By Candy" >>>

could be seen as a written admission of guilt. Not so. She has a modeling assignment this week, so no candy would pass her lips. The large skeleton had every opportunity as he's sitting right next to the empty pumpkin container, but .... let's face it. We can see right through him so .... that seems to indicate innocence. The jack'o lanterns have no hands which would make it really difficult to empty the candy container. But look at the right hand side of the photo next to the grave stone. See the white face with it's mouth open? That mouth is so full of candy that it can't even be closed. I rest my case.🤔

Thanks Shane!
