FAF Intermission: Poppy-Palooza (part 2)
Posted by Jeanne on June 7, 2026, 1:44 am 2009 Event -- Iconic, Celebrating a Decade of Style (FR convention, Chicago, in October) Close-up of her cute little tennis shoes: To address gwendollin's question from last week about Poppy's eyelash ridge. It's very subtle (not nearly as pronounced as the early Barbie eyelash ridges) but here's the best shot I could get of it. I looked at some current Poppies and they don't seem to have it but it's subtle enough that maybe it's still there just below the applied lashes? The second fashion included in the gift set was a darling little daywear set with capris: The third fashion in the set was a fun romper with coordinating belt and another pair of those cute tennis shoes: Next week we really are moving on to Poppy dolls from 2010.

Thank you for the deep dive into the eyelash ridge & the pic. I don't have any of the early dolls.

It's great seeing how Poppy evolved. She's a younger version here.
