FAF Presents: A Randall Craig Retrospective, 2009 Convention Collection (part 4)

According to my notes, at the 2009 IFDC convention Randall held a break-out event where he debuted the 6 convention exclusive fashions we reviewed over the past 3 weeks. But he had 2 more fashions for sale which he stated were not officially part of the convention collection because he did not have enough fabric to make the full 50 pieces that the rest of the collection had. So instead of these 2 ultra-exclusive fashions being sold first-come first-serve in the salesroom like the others, these 2 fashions were instead offered by lottery to his break-out event attendees with the winners earning the right to purchase the fashions without undergoing the frenzy and lines in the IFDC salesroom.

The New Girl, 25 pieces (retail price $60)- I love the perfect scale pattern of this purple summer dress, sort of like raindrops on a window. Paired w/ a simple black summer jacket, black pumps, a black patent belt & a snazzy little woven straw hat. Also included but not shown were black bead earrings & a cigarette.

To better show the bodice without the jacket. Sadly you can see how even Vero's first replacement body is unevenly yellowing.

I'll Be Seeing You, 25 pieces (retail price $60)- A lovely leaf-print chiffon halter dress, plus a black tulle underskirt. Also included was a black woven broad-brim hat, black pumps & a black patent belt, plus black bead earrings (and a cigarette).

Next week, onwards to 2010!

Both fashions are wonderful and I love the fabrics! So nice when the print is scale!

Both are beautiful!! I really like the blue tones in the second one!! !
