OFF TOPIC - I asked a well known eBay seller about the fitting of a fashion to a specific doll >>>>

He replied and suggested not to buy the fashion as he hasn’t that type of doll. I thanked him for his honesty and suggestion. When I went back to his ebay page, he has blocked me. I cannot buy anything from his shop.

I wrote back to him asking why and never reply. I guess messages are not getting to him even when eBay let me contact him?

I just said “bye bye”

This is crazy! He probably is hiding something. You are such a sweetheart! : )

I don't see anything wrong with your question. I understand some sellers can be paranoid, but blocking seems a bit over the top. Why would a seller want to deter a potential customer?

the wrong way. They have a knee jerk reaction and make impulsive judgements and decisions. It seems like this is may have happened in your case.

You didn't do anything wrong. I sell on Ebay and the question wouldn't have bothered me.

But I do know other sellers who take it as a warning sign when people ask even a simple question. And I understand that too from experience.

I've had perspective buyers start with a simple question then ask a ton more leading to wanting a huge discount. That might be what the seller was worried about.

But don't feel weird about it. Asking if something will fit your doll is not an unreasonable question. And as a seller I would've answered your question and not blocked you. His loss.

Ebay is just getting to be a strange and tricky place.

… complaining that the fashion didn’t fit my doll, but hey, I was just asking!

Besides I have 100% feedback. That could give him an idea of how problematic the customer is.
