Today we'll look at a BMR fashion and a BMR gift set.

1996 BMR Collection, Goin' to the Game, stock #16076- One of my all-time favorite Barbie fashions. Lots of wonderful pieces that are perfect to keep Barbie cozy and warm during a football game on a brisk autumn day. I'll discuss most of the pieces later but I did want to mention that the tights are actually leggings with sewn-on red cuffs, thus giving the appearance of red socks peeking above the boots.

This pic shows the large stadium tote that can be used to carry all the accessories I'll show later.

Removing the knit scarf to better show the vest. I originally thought the vest was made of pleather but on closer inspection found that it is a nice fabric that will definitely hold up better than pleather does over time.

And now removing the vest to show the wonderful knit sweater underneath:

A close-up of the plaid skirt to show the pleating and buckle details:

The accessories included are a lovely buffalo plaid stadium blanket, a red felt "State" pennant flag, binoculars, and a paper program cover & ticket. I also wanted to better show the tote, the knit scarf and also the vest with it's plaid lining.

1996 BMR Collection, Matinee Today, stock #16079- An amazing gift set that included a lovely Mackie sculpt blonde Barbie in her lingerie as well as a Chanel-inspired suit in this week's theme colors! The Barbie on the left is the one from the set.

The set also included this black bodysuit and a nice gold chain necklace.

The bead necklace on this doll is her own and was not part of the gift set.

A close-up of the lingerie without the robe. The corset has working garters, and matching panties. This set came with 2 sets of hose. The black fishnet pantyhose shown with the suit and these thigh-high stockings. There was also 2 pairs of shoes.

This is how the set would have looked boxed (pics from ebay):

    The back of the box:

Next time we'll start looking at the 1997 BMR offerings.
