I love my new Huret. She is 15 inches tall. She has a resin body. She poises fantastic!! She can stand on her own but it makes me a little uneasy because of her china head. The body is a close color to the original Gutta Percha body produced by Adelaide Huret to give the body's color authenticity. If she had an original body it would be very rare. She is Barbie's Great, Great, Great Grandmother. Adelaide Huret made these Dolls from the late 1850's to the 1870's. The doll, like Barbie was second to the glorious dresses and accessories (she even had furniture) that you could purchase separately for your doll.
