A few photos from the tons of fun at the Barbie Convention---I'm lagging having tested positive for covid yesterday! Hope everyone is well! > Windy City welcomed everyone to the convention.
We had a table set up with club memorabilia, tootsie rolls, and smiles and information. (WE did mask the entire convention) masks off for photos.
There were lots of photo ops set up...Loved this 'Doll Face'!

the artwork for the signage, boxes, tables was amazing!
A favorite spot for photos, huge Chicago sign
My focus was the competition room, so many cool and creative entries.
there were three categories for dioramas
> I loved the fashion photography and the magazine covers. Some of my photos didn't turn out!
This "Mattel" furniture was so interesting, the owner seemed to have had it all from a scrapboook.
An Art Deco type image of the ceiling from the hotel
My entry for the 'Silent Movie Scene' competition--the "Thief of Bagdad" starring, produced, written by Douglas Fairbanks in 1924! I'll be posting more on the Thief!
I never made it to the Raffle room, the Souvenir shop, or workshops, but the Fashion show and other presentations were fabulous. The exhibition room was only open for a few hours---sadly. Feel free to share these photos or keep them for your own.
