Just in case you have been living under a rock this last weekend Queen Elizabeth II and the UK (plus a good portion of the world) has just celebrated her majesty being our queen for 70 years. The UK were given a four day holiday.
    Day One
Was trooping of the colour back at Buckingham Palace after an absence of two years because of Covid. This was her birthday celebration. The queen has two birthday's her actual birthday 21st April and this second one.

No one was sure although we all hoped the queen would come out onto the balcony as she has some mobility issues (she is 96)
She came out to watch the parade with her cousin the Duck of Kent. This was a big surprise.

Then the fly past, this time she was on the balcony with all the working royals.

A wonderful start to the festivities.

    Day Two
Friday was a day for reflection and a service at St Pauls Cathedral. The queen did not attend Prince Charles was her stand in.This was also the only time we sore Harry and Meghan.

A total of FIVE soldiers collapsed outside the cathedral.

    Day Three
This was horse racing from Epsom... the Derby. Again the queen was absent but you just know with her love of horses that she was at home with her feet up and a gin and tonic/cup of tea cheering on her horses.

In the evening was a musical spectacular the likes you have never seen before

It started with the queen having tea with Paddington bear

The queen even taps her teacup in tune with Queen and Adam Lambert who had to follow 'tea with Paddington'

This was followed by a whole bucket full of wonderful stars music and dancing...talking of dancing Diversity were there (mum girls and I went to see Diversity in Brighton last weekend)

    Just an amazing night.

    Day Four

Last day and this was PARTY day. We were informed that the day would be wet and stormy but nope. No sun but no rain either and the whole of the UK was party central with street parties up and down the land.

In the afternoon a three hour parade and carnival

It was all brilliantly bonkers and so very British.
