I found this girl on ebay in March, and had never seen - actually didn't know existed - a resin 1/6 scale Susie BJD. I knew about the R&D resin Angels, in the 16 inch size because I have a couple of them. I never did bond with them, and should just sell them. But I took one look at this little girl, in her Geisha outfit, and snapped her up. I didn't realize she was resin until after I had paid for her! That's probably a good thing because I'm gun-shy about resin at this point, having a number of my expensive resin BJDs turn yellow over the years.
Geisha Susie came wrapped in packing paper, loosely, in a Priority Mail box. Now, this doll is resin - fragile, with lots of joints, inset eyes and attached eyelashes. Having her knock around in some paper in an otherwise empty box...well, I expected the worst when I unwrapped her. But the stars were shining on her, I guess, because not an eyelash was disturbed. Amazing! She's darling, and her resin is lovely, pale and not yellowed at all. Here she is...
