Lighting: The Grand Hotel Hotel/now Grand ViewArchived Message

My biggest lighting project was changing the lights on the Grand Hotel. I have hanging lamps(covered plastic cups) in each of three windows on the hotel. They are fed by seed lights and tiny batteries.
The lights worked well, the lower cabinet has mini lights taped to the top of the shelf. Overheads light the acrylic food cases.
The bakery was originally fed by 3 bar/lights with 9-AAA batteries...which wore out faster than you can say ...anything.
I switched over to two under counter lights from IKEA...electric/LED with long cords.
The light is great, very natural and really fills the space (I'm actually removing one section of one bar and using it in the townhouse remodel.
The Atrium is really lit by the overheads in my shop(LED) and they keep the colors real in the photos. I still have the foyer ceiling light lit by mini/battery lights. (*it was a vintage scented-plugin cover.
I throw a light on the 'stained glass window' from outside the building. The window is just printed paper modge-podged to an acrylic panel.
Here's another homemade hanging lamp fed by battery/mini lights in the Salon.
Hanging light(thrift store fixture) wired with mini lights. Batteries are stuck to the ceiling. Another view when I forgot to plug in!
Upstairs a mini candle stick with a glue stick stuck in it and a 'shade' with lights mounted on the glue stick I don't always remember to turn it on! But the girls do enjoy the lighting! Turning them off is even more important, LOL.
