None Theme, trying to feel a bit warmerArchived Message

I am already tired of being cold. Just wait till we get into January in Colorado, and listen to me bitch. LOL Anyway, last week I bought a huge pile of patterns in a local online auction. I thought this one was super cute and would make a good doll dress:
After spending a bit to scan and adjust the pattern and trying one prototype that didn't fit, I finally got a finished product, and it makes me feel somewhat warmer!
I had just one tiny scrap of that cool vintage fabric, so mistakes were not an option. It may say easy on the human scale one, but dolly size it is a bit more fiddly. I am working on producing the pattern, and it may be available as a boredom buster sometime next year, so stay tuned.
This is actually Deb's Christmas present, I just gave it to her yesterday, so I can post the pix now. I have one more tiny scrap of a different crazy mod fabric that I may make up one for myself in. We shall see.
To work up patterns from old human size ones, I use the pattern sheets that show you all the pieces included in the pattern. I do some measurements and then resize the pattern by scaling up. Then it is just a process of fitting and seeing what works.
