the clothes came first, I was shopping for containers to display cookie cutters and came across a round 50's beat up kids suitcase and it was filled with these 30-40's fabric clothes for a 12-14" doll. Well it was 15$ for the lot...so I grabbed it as it was 25% off too.
Shirley 1972-4 came off a goodwill rack for $6.99



the clothes are all handmade, I tried to find the pattern, and I think it is actually a pattern for the 1930's Shirley T dolls.


These are all washed but not ironed yet. The sewer loved the sewing machine, but the detail work she left, hooks eyes, snaps are missing, tears not mended some ends not finished.

But they are so adorable, all cottons and came so clean with my arm&hammer oxy clean soaks.

Will I keep her, I have no idea, I've been opening an antique booth in a huge mall, and plan to have a doll ebay page in November??? Who knows.
