These are Frost Asters and are native to Illinois prairie land. They smell like cupcakes and the bees adore them! I wish my whole yard were these. Here's my gorgeous Odile (this redhead is one of my top five faves ever) visiting the flowers and happening upon a bee. I got this dress years ago from here, iirc.
