Presenting... Poppy Parker
2010 Spring Collection

Poppy has landed in New York. She nervously takes a seat in her first taxicab. During the long drive into the city, she wonders what life as a teen fashion model will be like. There are so many new things to discover about the city in which she now lives. The magic of New York, from its wonderful shopping districts, art galleries, landmarks and parks to its bohemian downtown, is unparalleled and Poppy wants to experience it all. Get ready New York, she's arrived! Will the city that never sleeps ever be the same again?

First we'll look at the 4 dolls.

Dressed Dolls:

The first pics in the hot pink suit are of the doll included in the gift set. The other fashions were included but are modeled by Poppy dolls from other years:

Close-up of the unique "3-finger" gloves that were included with some fashions from Poppies from these early years. Nowadays any Poppy dolls that need gloves come with an extra set of hands with painted-on gloves but these earliest Poppies did not have removable hands so mitten-gloves it was.

Coney Island Saturday Poppy (PP012), 600 pieces, $80- A quick story about this doll. I did not buy her when she originally came out but my jaw dropped to the floor when I bought a $45 grab box in the 2013 FR convention sales room and she was included along with a Dynamite Girl accessory pack. A lucky day for me!

The Look of Love Poppy (PP014), 500 pieces, $135- I only have the nude doll but have included a promo pic of her in her original gown:
