Gwenevere, valmaxi, and Dawn warmly welcome you to Doll Divas |
| [ Post a response | Doll Divas ] |
I started the program by giving a little background about Integrity Toys. Then I read the following from the original email, dated 2/21/2009 that was sent out to all W Club members soon after Poppy debuted at the 2009 Toy Fair event. "Introducing... Poppy Parker I then went through the dolls set up in my display year by year. Once I got the dolls home I took some close-ups and today we'll look at the very first group of dolls and fashions. PREMIERE COLLECTION (debuted at the Toy Fair event in February 2009) The Premiere Collection also included 2 fashions that were sold without dolls. Next week I hope to continue with more Poppy fun by showing the 2010 She's Arrived Collection.

New York City is just a couple-hour plane flight from the Midwest, but for 1960s teenager Poppy Parker, it might as well be in a different universe. She has traded hanging at the local malt shop and school dances for the glamorous life of a teenage fashion model in the Big Apple!
You can take a girl out of the Midwest, but you can't take the Midwest out of the girl. Under her fashionable hair, perfect makeup and fancy couture clothes, Poppy is just a simple girl. Will she be able to dazzle the city that never sleeps? So far, the answer is "yes"!
The Poppy Parker doll uses a brand-new custom sculpt with a molded eyelash ridge. Her body uses the FR: Nippon Misaki body with articulated wrists and ankles."
Dressed Dolls:
Summer Magic Poppy (PP001), 700 pieces, $70- I don't have this doll but here is her promo shot:
Pillow Talk Poppy (PP002), 700 pieces, $70- Another doll I don't have so another promo shot:
The Reluctant Debutante Poppy (PP003), 700 pieces, $89:

Portrait in Black Poppy (PP005), 700 pieces, $89- I only have the nude doll. Here's a close-up of her face and then her promo shot to show her original fashion. Note that the promo shows a slightly different hairstyle with a more pronounced flip but I always liked the light flip of the doll I received and her hair is just as I originally received it. It has not been brushed out.

Three Hour Tour (PP004), 500 pieces, $55- my fashion being modeled by Lounge Siren Poppy:

Poetry in Motion (PP006), 500 pieces, $55- modeled by The Look of Love Poppy. Note that the original promo shots showed the shirt tucked into the skirt with the cummerbund over the waistband but for the life of me I could not get the skirt fastened with the shirt tucked in. I think it looks cute this way too.
