I have had this doll since I was about 7 years old.
She is a doll that our friend and adopted grandfather Calvin Black made for me. He also made the onyx cross she wears. He made a doll for my sister Gizelle as well. Calvin Black was an American folk artist. His works are located in the Smithsonian and in the NY Metropolitan Museum of art. This doll is about 11" tall but most of his dolls were life size.
