Beautiful Generic "Barbie Type" Doll Sets

A few months ago, while shopping at Burlington, I found these beautiful fashion dolls sets (6 different ones in all). The facial detailing on the Barbie and Chelsea sized dolls is amazing! Even though I have yet to de box any of them, I had temporarily removed them from their outer boxes and found the vinyl to be of a heavier consistency and a soft texture to the long hair. They look more like the Mattel and Hasbro dolls from the late 80s and early 90s, as opposed to generic fashion dolls. The brand name is Tiny Time and the sets were priced at $10.00. each. The Barbie and Chelsea sized dolls are unnamed. The adult doll has beautiful blonde hair with the rare brown eyes. I just LOVE these dolls and after purchasing the 6 different sets, I wanted to get to the bottom of this and find out more about this doll line. Shortly after these doll sets were released, the Tiny Time line introduced additional doll play sets with Barbie sized dolls and separate sets of Chelsea/Kelly sized dolls that weren't nearly as beautiful or meticulously detailed as the doll sets I purchased. The later ones had more the appearance of the typical generic Barbie and Chelsea type dolls. I can't understand why this line moved backward instead of forward?! Does anyone here happen to know anything about the history of the Tiny Time dolls? I have more photos I could share.
