Um, we were in college, on food stamps, and I had this brilliant idea to make Fruitcakes for Christmas presents for both sides of the family. I used a 32 quart canner to mix up the mess, finally putting my arms into it to stir (up to my elbows) and basically got stuck, hubby walked in the door...and well, he tells this story every Christmas, rescuing me from the fruitcake.
