Donowutt County: What Those Humans Don’t Know

I hate to start this tale with philosophy or sciences of the unexplained, but it’s going to be
difficult to relate without that background. Donowutt County deals with three realities.


The first reality (R1), from the perspective of those who live in Donowutt County, is their
mundane reality.. It’s like our first reality where we live our real lives, have real jobs, real
schools, pay real taxes and so forth. Donowutt County residents do that as well in their R1.

Donowutt County’s second reality or R2, is one the human populace would rather not consider. It’s
full of creatures which don’t quite fit in with their ideas of what should and shouldn’t exist.
It’s not really a dark side of evil and maliciousness, though I won’t deny evil spirits
exist all around us –consult your Bible for all that. This R2 is almost a fantasy side, except
that fantasies don’t really exist. In this R2, live things which make noises which seemingly have
no explanation, like when their dogs bark for no apparent reason or when their cats make weird
unexplained panicked leaps. Those animals are more aware than we might know. In this reality
might even lie an explanation of where those missing socks and plastic container lids go.
R2 is quite real in Donowutt County and the residents of that reality have not hidden
themselves from me, their author, or Mr.A. as they’ve come to know me. That brings up the third
reality, or R3.
