These were mostly 'everyday' clothes, and so cottons and very little bleeding. OLD fabrics definitely separate, (Old Mattel reds are the worst) and if you are worried about running, soak by themselves in cooler water. Whites, Light colors I use very hot water. Vintage you just have to decide if it is okay dirty or take a chance? Flocked fabrics or artificial leathers cold water only for a short time, or spot clean with a wet cloth.
