upload pic i can't see any spotlight..i deliberately took this in an unlit room at night so if there was one, it would show up clearly. i aimed the light directly at the centre of the quilt..you can see the light..it's that long black thing just off centre of the pic..the light spreads out quite wide, but i'm not sure that one would be enough for your dios..i'm really pleased myself, this is the warm light, you'd get a brigther light with the white, & this particular unit comes with both white & warm options. hope this helps.
