Lucky, who I found for a steal of a price, with a whole wardrobe of hand knitted gorgeous clothing. She was repainted by Vin Anthony, and she is stunning. She's an heirloom doll for me.
Kellogg's Walking Miss America, with shipping box, who I found in an antique shop in Vermont, one year (many years ago) when hubby and I spent a magical Christmas at an Inn there. While we were there we shopped the antique stores and I found her. Hubby was not pleased, because he felt she took attention away from the brunette flip he gave me for Christmas. It didn't, really, as I love both dolls! He got over it.
My favorite Gene, because she's the one I repainted.
This Tonner, because she's the one I repainted.
Blond Francie, who I bought many, many years ago, along with a brunette Francie, who I still have, from a lovely lady who was selling her own collection. I found her through an ad in the back of a Doll magazine, and wrote to her. She sold me the two Francie's for a ridiculously low price because she wanted someone who would love them to adopt them. I had told her how much I loved Francie when I was a child and was having trouble finding any in decent condition, that I could afford. So she sold them to me and I've been their happy owner ever since. The blond is especially minty, with the string in her hair still. She's wearing a mint outfit that was part of a collection of dolls that my old boss gave me when she retired. This doll means the world to me.
Jeni and Aleric, a couple I wrote about for some years. They are still in my head.
Juliette and Perrin, two friends who would be more, who bicker quite a bit, but who are destined to be together, once the stars align and they both are on the same page at the same time.
My computer is acting weird, so I'm going to finish this post. More Special dolls to come!
