The point was that they were happy to tell us how much to spend, but we wouldn't know what it looked like until it was actually in our cart at checkout. Would you buy something on eBay or Amazon that you couldn't see until it was in your cart? I doubt it. And since it was a first come, first serve situation, there was a possibility that you would have to make an immediate decision as to whether you wanted it or not. There was no reason for people to have to buy items blind, there should have been photos in either the email or posted on the board for people to see beforehand. I don't even know if the item I wanted sold out quickly or not, because I didn't bother to check out the sale under those circumstances.
