The celebration will be a day of family fun with activities planned from 10am – 2pm on Saturday 27 August at the Crane Valley LNR in Cranbrook. Anyone can try their hand at some traditional arts & crafts, build a bird box to take home, enjoy a free local produce BBQ and much more.
To make the event even more special and relevant to the local community, Kent High Weald Partnership would like to extend an invitation to Cranbrook clubs, societies, charities and groups with a ‘green theme’ to promote themselves by hosting a stand on the day.
Organiser Sarah Tree said; ‘The Partnership was founded in 1991 and has been 'linking community and countryside’ ever since. We really want this celebration to encompass our ethos; it will be a brilliant opportunity for people to find out about the wildlife on their doorstep, and for groups to promote their good works within the community. Everyone at KHWP is really excited and we would like everybody to join us.’
If you are interested in promoting your ‘green theme’ group or would like to volunteer on the day please contact Sarah Tree at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01580 212972.
