A Chromebook is not like a regular computer. LOL
There are a lot of things missing in a Chromebook when you remove the Operating System.

The Linux Chromebook says you can try in our settings Sucks. It is not a complete Linux OS.

When you wipe the OS out of a Chromebook it is EMPTY. There is no start up still in there to work with, like a regular computer has.
So you can only reload it with that Chromebook Back Up you saved.

The people who have wiped and reloaded a Chromebook with REAL Linux have first managed to install a start up program into that umpty box.
