I have had some Chromebooks that kept turning down the brightness. But I have never seen one turn up the brightness.
But any kind of music playing would keep me awake.

Years ago I had a friend that lived I a apartment in the middle of a busy city.
I stayed all night there once. Traffic of all kinds all night going by. Police sirens, emergency squad sirens.
I looked like a zombie the next morning.
