Your instructions are probably geared to an earlier version of Chromebook Settings that are now outdated. Try this:

1. Click on the time in the lower right corner of your screen.

2. Click on the gear wheel icon at the lower right, which is the Settings icon

3. Click on the three horizontal lines in the upper left of the resulting screen

4. Click on Device (keyboard, mouse, print)

5. Click on Print (view or add printers and see active print jobs)
