I bought the 2023 model of Moto G 5G cell phone last year and you're right, once you have a smart phone you wouldn't want to go back to a flip phone.

I tend to use the notepad on it daily for grocery lists and the calendar to remind me of things.

I use Consumer Cellular for my phone and last year my old flip phone became very unreliable, only connecting to the network a third of the time so they told me to go to a 5G model and what a difference it makes. It costs me $25 a month for service and data and another $16 a month for two years to pay off the cost of the phone. When I get this paid off Jan of 2026 I think I'm upgrading to another model with a better camera. Their 2024 version of Moto G has a much nicer camera and is only $8 a month for two years.

As far as adblockers go, I only use my phone to go online for facebook and google things and so far I don't get any ads but I also assume that because I use the chrome browser sync to all my devices and because I have adblock plus on my chrome browser that it just automatically blocks ads on my phone too, if not then there's a whole lot less ads online then there were before I installed adblock plus.
