Recently, I have been having this strange problem with my Logitech Mouse (Model M170). After I log into my Chromebook, I have to remove the Logitech USB dongle that works with the mouse and reinsert it in order to make the cursor active. (The cursor is active with the trackpad, but not the mouse.) I already replaced the mouse batteries.
I just noticed today that I no longer have to remove the USB dongle to get my mouse to work when I log on, so a recent update must have fixed the problem.
As I said in another thread, "All things come to he who waits."
