I just started experimenting with turning the power strip off later in the morning though, using it on battery in my late evening session , leaving it powered off all night. Then switching the power strip back on re-charging as I am doing now. Still baffles me why it became so hot, giving off that near burning electronic smell, that my Wife also detecting walking back her into our bedroom, that morning.
And despite me once in awhile forgetting to turn on my new cooling pad, bought as a precaution, the CB has not repeated it thinking that it is an oven, LOL.
As reported initially, it only damaged the speakers, which can now barely be heard, but like you, Blues/Star, the line out to those speakers atop my Wife's dresser mirror sound, like Tony The Tiger, would say GREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAT :-).
Now other than the speakers, this CB is running peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerfectly, and hopefully will make its' new EOL date sometime in 2027, maybe outlasting MOI, LOL
