The multiple 1/24 / 1/32 and HO tracks in OC are the same power as back in the old days. Road racing on the 1/24 tracks are about 12V. The HO track is a bit higher but just right for HO cars. The drag strip is at about 16.1V.

Slot cars are pretty much the same as in the 70's. The tracks are a bit nicer. The parts are a bit more affordable.
