You can buy it on sale untrimmed for $3.99 a pound or $5.99 trimmed. If you don't shop around it can easily be $8.00 or higher. Beef cows are high, an average steer is $1500 or around $3.00 a pound, pairs/mom and calf are $2500 to $3600.
