Rhydd Ddu 16 to 18 Feb

Next hut meet is Rhydd Ddu, just west of Snowdon . We need a meet leader, also some participants. Attractions include a fire, decent pub 15 min walk, snowdon railway for getting back from a walk. handy for the Moelwyns. Lockable bike shed.

Excellent!
So far we have Isaac n Hannah, Robert, Derek, Wendy, and 3 Bolgers. 8 places so far, five of whom can act as Obergruppenführer aka meet leader. I might come, might not but I don't want to be leader as I will be in the Dolomites next week so won't be around.

Sorry to take a while replying to you Sue and Joy. Suddenly occurred to that I wasn’t sure how many spaces we have.
I’ve contacted Adrian who say that we have 10 places booked but could have up to 16. Looks like we are now wanting 12 places.
I’ll ask him to check

Hello everyone, I’m sorry that I have been so inactive in my self appointed role of meet leader. My excuse is that I’m still feeling ridiculously rough even though I’ve had this cough/cold for well over a week. In fact, I’m beginning to wonder if I’ll make it to Rhydd Dhu.
Assuming that I start to recover, there will be 12 of us and as Adrian is back in the country, I’ll leave it to him to negotiate the extra places.
As for the meal:
Robert has put his culinary skills on the line and bagged bringing the rice; I’ll do a dhal, probably involving chickpeas and spinach (I can send it with Robert if I need to bale)
I suggest that we need either 3x curries for 4 or 2x curries for 6.
At least one of these should be vegetarian (personally I’d be happy if they are all veggie but if anyone wants to make a meat one, that’s fine).
We could do with some samosas basis etc ; pickles; breads (anyone good at making chappatis?)Salad?
What about desert?

If Adrian can confirm there's a space for me, I'll bring cucumber raita and a lemon tart (which is supposed to serve 8) for dessert.

Karl is coming late on Friday but after a night of coughing, I have reluctantly accepted that I can’t inflict that on the rest of you, so I’ve decided not to go.
I’m already in the process of making my chickpea dahl so I’ll send that instead.
