Coronovirus

Connex (formerly the Volunteer Centre) are orgainsing volunteers to assist local residents who will be affected by isolation.

Thanks to everyone who put their names forward.
However Connex have agreed that for the national volunteering effort to be better co-ordinated, new volunteers should register with the NHS scheme.

Hi please let me know if anybody has success with the NHS site .I think they have been overwhelmed with people offering or they just do not have admin as I have not heard for three weeks .luckily I have contacts with food bank and they really appreciate help packing or distribution .so anybody able could consider this option too in yr area. In one area they have 160 families to drop off food bags .

Hi Alison,
We volunteered for the 'check in and chat' option and they emailed me on Monday, and now I'm set up with the app etc.(not delivering stuff as we are 73 &74)

My son, in Malvern, volunteered to deliver food and medicine before us, but he has heard nothing as of last night.
For the check & chat support they only needed driving licence, whereas the driving may need more..eg CRB checks etc which may take longer.

There is local group I Bollington doing all the delivering,chatting etc which has been going for about 2 weeks. There may be something near to you?

Hi please can I get some help re using the GoodSam app .I can log in but not see the app on my phone and there is no way to set up my profile it feels like I have not got all details on the page.
