Hi everyone- we have a full house of 20 for Lowstern, so it sounds like we'll have a party! There will be 14 sleeping in the hut & 6 in vans. Hut fees are £12 per night.
Location - The YMC have asked us not to disturb their neighbours and not to use satnav or postcodes to access the hut as this will take us to Lodge Bank Farm. Please use the grid ref SD 7366 6905, or download the location map and directions which can be found on www.yrc.org.uk/venue If anyone is not sure where it is, please let me know and I will email a map & directions.
The key is in the key safe which is opposite the entrance door - the code is 2046 (marked A). You may need a head torch to operate it. We have been given a hut fees & leaving checklist, which I will ping to you all.
The hut doesn't have any pillows, pillowcases or tea towels, so will everyone bring their own.
Food - as we will all be arriving at different times on Friday, we should have the group meal on Saturday. It's been suggested that we have Spanish tapas for the meal theme, so please can people offer suitable tapas, with meat & veggie options including puds. I think that we have 4 veggies (Alex , Mark, Paul S & Anthea) & 16 omnivores. Is that correct? I will make Spanish roasted red peppers in a spicy sauce for 10 as well as a Spanish garlic mushroom tapas with flatbread for 10 - both are veggie.
