Steve - it's too early to have Dahlias outside. It's a good idea to grow them on indoors (cool kitchen rather than fireside rug) until they have a good amount of foliage and the weather has warned up and not frost, I'd wait a couple of week if I were you.
One night out won't have killed the tubers but if the foliage is frosted it won't recover so cut off any damage then wait two or three weeks before planting out again. X
