I really hope you've beem right but I doubt it.
Sometimes you see only things you wanted to see.
For me it still looks like the snake is only coiled around him.
When you look very closely you can recognize his suit above his legs and his massive shield near his head with a big coil around it.
I really wish he got into the snakes belly but I really doubt he did.
I think he only gets coiled and they measured the pressure of the snake coils with the tube attached to his leg.
Maybe they also give him oxygen through the tube.
(He wears a oxygen mask under his helmet).
One big problem is that the snake coils as long as it feels a heartbeat.
I have no clue how they should dealed with this problem.
I think they never wanted to get him swallowed by the snake.
They only wanted to get as much attention with this announcement.
There are only two possibilities:
1) we all will be very disappointed with the result of the airing of the show

2) It will be a big sensation when he really has got swallowed by the snake.

I still hope it will be the second possibility
