Remembering Our Class of 1975 Classmate: Eric Gibbs
1975 Centennial High School Photo of Eric Gibbs
With Our Deepest Sympathy and Condolences,
I'm so very sorry to hear of our Classmate Eric Gibbs passing last month. I had just recently posted about Eric hoping that he would wake up from his coma. I take solace and comfort in knowing that he is at peace now and at home with our Lord and Saviour. Eric was not only my Classmate; but he was a sweet and very dear friend. I called my brother and my Mom to let them know of Eric's illness and later of his passing; they were very shocked and sorry to hear of Eric's passing as well. They thought that something was wrong because they were telling me that almost every month like clockwork Eric would stop by my Mom's house to see and catchup with her and my brother Searcy J. Macon c/o '74 (who was in the Willowbrook Jr. High School Band and the Centennial High School Band with Eric). Eric, now you are playing in God's heavenly band. My brother and I grew up with Eric and we all attended Elementary School, Junior High School as well as at the "Big Ten" Centennial High School together. Eric my family, and your Centennial High School Classmate' Family all love you and you will surely be missed by us all. Eric may you forever R.I.P.
Classmates:
Time is moving very fast and tomorrow is not promised to any of us. More and more and way too many times we are seeing many of our Apache Classmates, Apache Alumni Friends & Family pass away. May we cherish each other more, as well as cherish each and every time (moment) that we are able to come together in love and in friendship. It's not hard to stay in touch by phone, by e-mail, by texts, stay in touch on various Class websites or stay in touch even by mailing cards or letters, it is such a good thing to stay in touch, to pray for one another, it is so important; ("because we never know; it just may be our last chance or our last opportunity to see or speak, or communicate with one another again"). It's very sad that Funerals are turning into "Mini-Reunions" for some. Whoever we/you were close to at the "Big Ten" back-in-the-day (why not take a moment out of your time soon and contact one of the friends that you hung out with in school), I'm sure that it would make their day and that it would mean the world to them that you reached out to them and let them know that you thought of them.
To our Classmate & Brother Eric, may you find peace within the arms of the Lord, and may you R.I.P.!!
To Eric's wife Cassandra, son Eric Jr., brother Johnny and the Gibbs Family, Classmates and Friends of Eric:
You have our deepest sympathy and condolences. May each of you find comfort in God's word and in His love.
Please know that our prayers are with all of you.
PRAYER
Dear Lord, we Eric's Classmates, Alumni and Friends come lifting the Gibbs Family up to You in prayer at this very difficult and sorrowful time. Lord, we ask that you would continue to bring Your comfort and Your peace that passes all understanding to the Gibbs Family; as well as to Eric's Class of 1975 Classmates and all others who right now are mourning his loss. Dear Lord, we ask that their memories of ours and of their loved one Eric will sustain them as time marches on. Lord, we ask this prayer sincerely in the Sweet and Precious Name of Jesus. Amen and Amen.
To God Be The Glory Forever and Ever!!
God bless the Gibbs Family!!
Love and Blessings, Your Classmate & Old Friend Phoebe Macon
