You’ve come a long way my friend. Continue fighting for yours and the community. I myself believe in change, and if anyone can make changes for the good, I feel and believe that can be you.
Omar, for the people who love and support you, take my advice and don’t entertain rhetoric and or innuendos. It’s a waste of your energy and time. Trust me man. Put your energy in your ten point plan to restore the community and from that point let your action be your plan. There is always a place and a forum to address people concerns about what “you” yourself can do (not others), and when that time come, that is where you address those issues. Briefly….like when working on my Master Degree and submitting my thesis, one of my College Professor (Black Chick, highly respected, impeccable credentials) wrote me an email and told me Less is More. Hurt my feelings but “I GET IT! Especially when it comes to making major decisions.
Omar, I am confident. You have a lot people that are truly supporting you at this moment, and you know “the many” of us from the Big Ten are supporting you. Don’t believe me, look at the numbers (Considering plus or minus 3%).Close race. Numbers don’t lie. Particular when the turn out numbers were low. You got our Boy Lonzo, setting aside space for your voice on his program, and you have people coming on board saying how they got your back. Trust in God, My Friend, and you will never go wrong. Don’t sweat the small stuff, save that energy for the bigger issues. Those will be your concerns. The bigger issues that need to be “dealt” with right “Now” will allow you to shine….AGAIN! I read Phoebe’s comment and she too expresses her confident in the changes you can make in the community and how badly it’s needed.
So, (getting Compton style), Handle your business Boo, and show us what you can do….AGAIN! Right! Keep fighting for change Omar. You are in my prayers.
Love you much and more
Jerlilia
P.S. Keep in mine I am on the outside looking end….Which means I can see the Forrest despite the trees.
