Lithuania now has the fourth highest GDP per capita out of the 21 countries who are no longer ruled by the USSR. They started out as #12 on this list. A lot of Lithuania's economy is in the high tech sector. Two of of most popular VPN programs, NordVPN and Surfshark, are Lithuanian companies. I was in Lithuania in 1992 to visit many of my relatives there.
