I love to sleep to the sound of rain. However, we had a thunderstorm the last week and never knew till we opened the front door and were shocked to see a large puddle in front of the trash dumpster. Our neighbor laughed when I told her. But actually, I had taken a tylenol PM and Jim sleeps soundly and without his hearing aids is very deaf.

We have central a/c and run the fan all night 24/7 for the noise. If we happen to open our eyes when there is lightening ,we know of a storm .

Actually, sleeping in our 5th wheel is my favorite, as the rain on the roof there is great , I love that noise.
