Here, just a couple yrs ago, 24 " in about 30 hrs. Several friends homes flooded, we had to help them relocate while their homes were repaired by flood ins, more than a month of repairs and help as they were elderly. Felt good that we were able to help.

We were blessed that we didn't have the damage of amt of water they did, they had to wait for gov trucks to take them out, were not allowed to have private vehicles to enter the areas to take them out.
