When you were a care-taker or when you were a patient, were you a good one?

I found I could do things I'd formerly thought totally impossible as my husband got sicker and as he got ready for his Transition. He had nurses come in to do wound care, or check his dressings after his amputation. They often commented that I wrapped it as well or better than they could. I can't do it now, but at that time, I could. But seeing the patients my daughter has, I doubt I'd do near as well.
