As flooding in Washington continues to cause people to leave their homes, the National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for the coming week.
Another atmospheric river is heading into the region, with the heaviest rain expected Thursday. That rain will come on the back of last week’s strong atmospheric river, which saturated soil and filled waterways.
Last week, a landslide buried a stretch of highway in rural Lincoln County.
The flood watch is in effect from Thursday through Saturday for all of northwest Oregon and southwest Washington.
