I love Ouray, Colorado. It was at the bottom of a ring of tall Rockies and every night they have what they call the Alpineglow. As the sun drops. the snow topped mountains go from bright orange-red to almost a fuschia pink color. It's so pretty. They have an Olympic sized swimming pool, a couple of old time saloons and a real 'gunfight' for the Fourth of July.
There are underground caverns below a spa/hotel where the thermal water comes from the rocks the buildings are built on...at 136 degrees; has to be cooled for you to slip into the vats where people can soak out all aches and pains. It's fantastic.
