Alan Jackson has been diagnosed with Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT) disease.

CMT is a group of inherited nerve disorders that affect the nerves in the arms, legs, and feet. It causes progressive muscle weakness and atrophy, making it difficult to walk, balance, and perform other physical activities.

Jackson revealed his diagnosis in 2021. He has said that he is managing the condition and continues to perform, but that it has affected his mobility and ability to tour.
