Long ago, I met Bill and Marie...they're both gone now. I met Pattie and Lucie and 'Maggie'--Joan, and Shirley. Linda, owned a group called Country-Blue, Darcy, she had one that was an off shoot from Country Blue when Linda began telling us we couldn't contact other people in the group. From Darcy's group, we morphed into the Bear's Den and the Widow's Group that had been someone else's widows. Both Pattie and Lucie kept working until we got this widows group. Grams, Jo, Cliff, Dave and Phyllis...oh so many good people. The bad experience I had was when a bunch of people decided to malign a member of the Bear's Den. I stuck up for him and I have a sheaf of letters I printed off that naysayers came out of the woodwork and posted nasty comments to me. Grams was one who came to my rescue and so did Pattie. I remember one Sally who proclaimed; "she is probably as much of a con as he is." Bad times.
