I, too find them to be places of peace and pondering. As a genealogist, for years, when we went somewhere new, I'd go through the graves, looking for names that appear in my family lines.
My last visit was my grandson driving up there on a windy day, and my hips hurting too bad to get out and put out the bouquets...he did that for me.
Like Flo, I am leery of uneven ground. My walker would get me there, from the drive...it is only about ten feet away.
