I really dont have much dealings with these situations. In fact, i rarely give it a thought. I think individual bathrooms is a good idea. Me, ive used a public bathroom here right off our lobby..it consisted of 1 toilet and 1 urinal..so i guess it accomadates either sexes...its a public restroom and also handicapped accessible. Guess it covers all bases..
